If a potted plant is covered with a glass jar water vapour appear on the wall of glass jar Explain why?

Water vapour appears on wall of glass jar demonstrates the phenomenon of transpiration. The leaves lose water in the form of vapours which get condensed on the inner surface of the glass jar.

This is because the plant respires. And when plants respire the gas they release diffuses into the air. But when we place a glass jar on the plant, the gaseous molecules are not able to escape and thus when they come in contact with the surface of the glass jar, the get condensed and turn into liquid.

Water vapour appers in the glass jar because of transpiration. Transpiration is the evaporation of cellular water (in the form of water vapour) from the stoma in the leaves of the plants.

As we know that plant makes food on their own by photosynthesis, in which they uses water and also release some water as vapour . So when a potted plant is covered with a glass jar, the plant, photosynthesis, and water vapour is released and there is a barrier so it appears on the surface of the glass jar.
