if an angle is 30 degree more than one half of its complement find the measure of the angle

Let one angle be x .

Therfore , other angle = x/2 + 30

x + x/2 + 30 = 90  (according to the ques. )

3x/2 = 60

3x = 120

[ x = 40 ]

There fore the angles are , x = 40 and x/2 + 30 = 20 + 30 = 50 .

wait frm whr did u get 20??

  • 4

40/2 gives us 20 .

how did youget 3x

?????????????????

  • -2

answer is 60 degree

  • -1
3x is from x+x/2=2x/2+x/2=3x/2

How answer is 60?

50 is answer

let the angle be y
so , its complement is 90-y
given that it is 300 more than haalf of its complement
y=1/2 *34+90
y=79
  • -3
let the complement be x
so the unknown angle=x/2+30
from the above=x+x/2+30=90(sum of complementary angles is 90 degree)
2x/2 +x/2+30=90
3x/2=90-30
3x=60*2
x=120/3
x=40 degree
therefore, complement= 40
another unknwn angle=x/2+30=40/2+30
=20+30=50degree

when once we are getting 2x/2 by adding both of them then why are we again adding x/2 in 2x/2?

Frame an equation by assuming that angle as X, Then, its complement will be ( 90 - X ) X = {(90 -X) /2} +30 => 2X = 90 - X +60 => 3X = 150 => X = 150/3 = 50 So, Angle measure is 50°
