Inside the fire extinguisher a high pressure is maintained which makes the gaseous carbon dioxide to liquid and when it comes out of the extinguisher the pressure is reduced to atmospheric pressure and it exist as gas. The appropriate condition for the existence of carbon dioxide as liquid is observed as ​at a pressure of 5.1 to 72.8 atm and between the temperatures of -56.6 to +31 0C
