In determining the cyclic str. of gulucose-

glucose does not react with hydroxyl amine

BUT,In the confirmation of carbonyl group it is reacting with hydroxyl amine

In the cyclic structure of glucose, no free aldehyde group is present. So, it can not form glucose oxime with hydroxyl amine to give the carbonyl test . On the other hand, in open chain glucose free aldehyde group is present and can form glucose oxime in presence of hydroxylamine. You can see the difference from the following reaction:-
