Is soap is non biodegradable or detergent?

soaps are formed by alklye group ,fats and oils which can easily brokendown into simple substance by microbs so they are called biodegradable whereas detergent are syenthic made by ammonium or sulfate salts of long chain carboxylic acids which can not be broken down by microbs so they are called non biodegradable
