In the sentence: 'It gives me immense pleasure to welcome everyone of you', usage of an is unnecessary as suggested by a lot of your other friends. Hope you are clear on the subject.

I think AN should be used as the word 'immense' starts from "I" which is a vowel (a,e,i,o,u) and as per the rule, we have to put 'an' in front of any vowel.

bt i m sayin' that it is compulsary to put 'an' in frnt of any vowel and as MRINALI was sayin' that it sounds better without an, I was just tellin' her that there's nothin' like it sounds gud, its all about rules. And I was just sayin' that we must put 'an' whenever it is a countable word...
