Justify the title of Elsie Brown's story ' A Shady Plot '

The title 'A Shady Plot' is in concordance with the story line. The story is about the behaviour of ghosts which is unexpected. Humans consider ghosts to be scary and unfriendly. On the contrary, the ghosts spoken of in the story behave like humans. They have a bureau, they work and help writers with their stories and go on strikes as well.

"Plot" in the title has the meaning - conspiracy or a plan and" shady" means Secret or some ghostly thing . So.the title in all means " A secret/ghostly Plan." In the story it seems to John that helen the ghost has plotted a secret plan on John although actually it isn't so.The whole episode occurs very strange to John. he also at first gets afraid of the ghost so it becomes like a shady plot on the writer by Helen.
