Kindly throw some light on Question tags, Conditions without 'if"and composing a Poem..
Question tags are used in English to seek a consent on a particular statement. For example:
You belong to Mumbai, don't you?
She has not joined music classes, has she?
(Remember- we use the positive if the modal verb in the sentence is positive and vice-versa)
There are certain conditional Sentences used without 'if'. Notice the following cases:
1. Possibility of happening in future:
Should you need my help, I will be here.
2. Impossibility of happening at present:
Were I you, I would work hard.
3. Impossibility of happening in the past:
Had I reached there on time, I would have met her.
To compose a poem, you may keep the following points in mind:
- Know the main idea or subject of the poem
- Avoid overused metaphors and similes
- Expressions through words and imagery is important in a poem
- Stick to the theme of the poem
