• The planets in the Solar system which are closest to the Earth are known as the Inner Planet. Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars are the four inner planets.
• Outer Planets or the Jovian planets are those which are the ones other than the inner planets. These plamets are larger in size as compared to the inner planets.
