oxidative phosphorylation

Conversion of ADP to ATP by the electron transport system in aerobic respiration is called oxidative phosphorylation. During this process the phosphorylation occurs in the inner mitochondrial membrane when hydrogen protons pass through ATP synthetase complex. The energy required for phosphorylation comes from oxidation reduction process in respiration and therefore, the process is called oxidative phosphorylation.

oxidative phophorylation is a metabolic pathaway in which the mitochondria the cells in the cells use their structure, enzyme and energy released by the oxidative nutrients to move hydrogen from ADP to phophate to reform ATP. Although the many forms of life use a different range of nutrients, ATP is the molecule that supplies energy for metabolism. Almost all aerobic organisms carry out oxidative phophorylation.
