Your friend Rathadawet is correct!

3. The artificial kidney functions on the same principle as the normal kidney and the procedure is called dialysis.  Dialysis machine is the artificial kidney machine. An artificial kidney machine may be employed in order to get rid of metabolic wastes from blood.  Dialysis is performed to the patients whose kidneys are not functioning properly or stopped working permanently.

5. Difference between arteries and veins.

Arteries

Veins

Arteries are thick walled.

Veins are thin-walled.

Blood flows under high pressure in the arteries.

Veins bring back blood from the organs to the heart and blood is no longer under pressure.

Arteries are situated deep inside the skin

Veins may be peripheral or deep inside the skin.

Carry blood away from the heart.

Carry blood towards the heart.

Carry oxygenated blood, except pulmonary artery which carries deoxygenated blood.

Carry deoxygenated blood, except pulmonary vein which carries oxygenated blood.

Arteries have no valves.

Veins have valves.

7. Apart from kidney we have some other excretory organs. They are

  • Lungs - releases CO2.
  • Intestine - releases undigested food.
