PLZ TELL THE CHARACTER SKETCH JOHN A . PESCUD , JESSIE ALLYN AND HER FATHER.!!

PLEASE PROVIDE US WITH THE ANS QUICK!! EXAM TOMORROW.!

Colonel Allyn was Daisy 's father, a retired colonel with a stern and strict face. He was a angry looking man who rarely laughed and had the hobby of telling and listening to the stories from strangers and travellers who came to him.

John Pescud was not particularly good looking. He was a travelling salesman for a plate glass company. He was very successful and had his salary raised twice in the previous year and his company was to give him a few shares as well. His philosophy was that a man should be decent and law abiding in her/his hometown. He was a hypocrite, mocks the stories of best sellers calling them unrealistic. But, in real life he himself follows a girl like the hero of some best seller. He later marries that girl.

Jessie Allyn was fine looking and pretty. She was the only daughter of Colonel Allyn belonging to the oldest family in Virginia. She was proud of her aristocratic lineage and rich mansion. For her we can say that appearance is deceptive. She was observant and perceptive and was attracted to Pescud.

John: He is a travelling salesman of a plate-glass company. He loves his job and is a good salesman (his promotions and commissions tell us). His opinion is that a man should marry a girl in his own station, and that when a man is in his home town, he should be decent and law-abiding. But he turns out to be a hypocrite. He married a girl, Jessie Allyn, the only daughter of the oldest family in Virginia. The way he met her, the way he fell in love with her, the way he followed her, the way he describes her father, all this prove that his story is a bestseller, something he hates.

Jessie: She is a beautiful girl from a high class family, the oldest family in Virginia.

John A. Pescud

John was not particularly a good looking man. He believed that a man should be decent and law abiding in his hometown. A travelling salesman for a plate glass company, he was an old acquaintance of the narrator. When the two hit the conversation the narrator got a chance to explore John’s view on love, romance and literature. Pescud widely disapproved of the best sellers as he believed them all to be unrealistic. He believed that in reality a man when hunts down his girl to settle down, he looks out for her in his station and not like from these novels where an American swell from Chicago who falls in love with a royal princess from Europe.

Colonel Allyn was a tall old man with a smooth face and white hair, and looked as proud as Julius Caeser. Although he wore shabby clothes, his personality was such that the writer feels in his presence, the place seemed to light up. On the other hand he seemed to be very strictbut talking to Pescud surprisingly, he (Colonel) took a great liking to him. He was fond of telling stories to or listening to them. This evident from the following statement made by him-"The relating of anecdotes and humorous occurences has always seemed to me , Mr. Pescud, to be a particularly agreeable way of promoting and prepetuating amenities between friends." Thus he can be said to be friendly person with a strict and proud look.
