Difference between Early Vedic period and Later Vedic period-

Early vedic period

• Family was a single unit. Caste system did not prevail and women enjoyed equal rights
• Worship of nature and natural phenomenon prevailed.
• There was absence of temples and idols. Hymns were chanted in open. 
•  Domestication of animals was the primary occupation.

Later Vedic period

• Joint family system prevailed. Caste system became rigid  and the status of women declined
• Religion became more complex. Worship of new gods emerged.
• New rituals and ceremonies emerged.Temples and idol worship began to grow.
• Many new occupation emerged.Traders guilds have come up and trade became important.
