Sensitivity to the feelings of other people, friends or strangers, is an essential value of life. Do you agree with this statement? Justify your answer with reference to The Solitery Reaper.

One must be sensitive to feelings of others as even lowly individuals and their work have a beauty about them. Nothing should  be underestimated in life because a mere incident has the potential to leave an imprint for the rest of the life. The poet gets mesmerised by the song of a highland lass. The lass is completely devoted in her work and seems oblivious to the presence of the poet. The poet does not want to disturb the solitary reaper. Being a sensitive admirer who respects the emotions attached to the song, he listens to it without causing any obstruction.
