Sir, how to write a report writing?

A report provides the reader with a fuller description of an event or incident as to ‘what’, ‘when’, ‘how’, ‘where’ and ‘why’ has happened in the past. It contains a catchy title which captures the interest of the reader.

Following are some points to be kept in mind while writing a report:

  • The report must be given a catchy title to grab the interest of the reader.

  • A report must be written in the past tense.

  • It should be concise and written as clearly as possible.

  • The presentation of the order of events as to which point has to come in the beginning and others following it is important.

  • The report must describe what, how, when, where and why an event or incident had happened.

A format and example of report writing has been provided for your reference.
