solids have a definite shape whereas liquids and gases do not . justify

 

in solids, the molecules are closely packeed. thus they cannot move and have a definite shape.. whereas in liquids and gases, the molecules are loosely and very very loosely packed respectively. thus, they are able to move here and there and do not have a definite shape.
