Solve this:

since abcd is a cyclic quadrilateral 

angle a + angle c = 180 
similarly 
angle b + angle d = 180 
therefore , (2x+45) + (4y- 4 ) = 180          ( opp. angles in a cyclic quadrilateral are supplementary )
                     
  similarly,
                (x+10)   + (5y-5)  = 180                 (same reason ) 

                 since , rhs is equal 
 (2x+45) + (4y- 4 ) =  (x+10)   + (5y-5)
          2x+45+4y- 4 =    x+10+5y-5
​     2x-x+45-4-10+5 =5y-4y
​                     1x+36= 1y
​                       x       = y- 36 
                    therefore y = x+36
