State  and prove  Work energy theorem?

Dear Student!!

The work done on a body by a force is equal to the increase in the kinetic energy of the body. This is known as the work-energy theorem or work energy theorem.

For the proof of the theorem please refer the following link: http://cbse.meritnation.com/study-online/study-material/TWxO$$USd5lolTO90lfOyg!!/tvbsix2crcwiT0bJIfkAEg!!

1.when a NET FORCE does WORK on a RIGID body, it causes the body speed to change.

2.The work done by net force is the same as the sum total of the work done by  the action of every force acting the body. if u add up the work done by each of the forces acting on a body u wil get the same value as the work done by the net force.

3.the work done on a body that caused the body to be sat in motion with some speeed v can be expressed as function of the body`s final speed  V and mass M ,independent of type of force that acted on the body.we call this function the body`s kinetic energy.
