A median is a line segment joining the vertex of a triangle to the mid-point of the opposite side. There three medians in a triangle. These medians intersect at a point in the circle. This point is called centroid of the triangle.

 

Consider a ∆ABC. In order to construct the centroid of this triangle, first of all find the mid-points of sides AB and BC of the triangle ABC. You can find this by constructing perpendicular bisectors of sides AB and BC. Let P and Q be the mid-points of sides AB and BC of the triangle ABC. Now, join CP and AQ. Let they intersect at a point G. Now, G is called the centroid of the triangle ABC. This can be done as follows.
