tell the meaning of these lines "of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare

the lone and level sands strech far away...."

"Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,

the lone and level sands stretch far away."

These lines refer to the broken statue of Ozymandias as the colossal wreck. On the pedestal of the statue, Ozymandias boasts about his mighty kingdom, and speaks of his mighty works. However, save for the statue, there is nothing left of Ozymandias' empire. Over time, the kingdom was destroyed and leveled to the ground, and eventually covered by sand.

These lines show us that time is immortal and that no one can withstand the effects of time. Time is a great destroyer and leveler, and nothing survives the wrath of time. It also shows that human emotions like arrogance, pride, and contempt are all mortal and do not survive the passage of time.

It means there remains no trace of power and glory that king Ozymandias was once proud and boastful of.There is nothing but sand round the wrecked statue. The desert and the sands signify the desolation and emptiness of the land where the kingdom once stood. No trace of Ozymandias’s power and valour could be found in the place. The line signifies that neither glory nor the power of the king is forever. All his vanity and achievements have gone to oblivion. It means there is nothing but sand around the decay of that huge statue. It lies all in ruins surrounded by barren sand of the desert.
