test to distinguish dil H2SO4 from dil HCl and dil. HNO3 by using BaCl2..

Dil. H2SO4 reacts with aq. BaCl2 to give a precipitate of BaSO4 whereas neither dil. HCl nor dil. HNO3 react with BaCl2.
The reaction with H2SO4 is as follows:

H2SO4(aq + BaCl2(aq) BaSO4(s) + 2HCl(aq)

In case of H2SO4 if it is mixed with BaCl2 then a ppt was formed because of formation of BaSO4.

But in any other case ppt doesn't form.
