The convict goes to paris, sells the silver candlesticks and starts a business. The business prospers and he starts a reformatory for ex-convicts. He writes a letter to the Bishop telling him of his reformatory and seeks his blessings

As the convict, Jean Valjean, wrie the letter to the Bishop.

plss.... help me. its very... urgent

 Respected Sir,

Hope you are well by the grace of God. How is your sister? I express my utmost gratitude to you for forgiving me for my act of stealing the silver candlesticks. It is because of your benevolence that I could reach Paris and start a new life. You are the pathfinder who have shown me a new way of life.

You will be elated to know that after reaching Paris I sold the silver candlesticks to a jewellery shop. I got enough money out of that and invested the money in starting a business. From a small scale venture the business has grown into a large scale business yielding huge profit. I owe my success to you.

Inspired by your ideals I have started a reformatory for ex convicts who have committed crime driven by circumstances. I seek your blessings for the success of the mission. The vision of the reformatory is to reform the ex convicts and give them a new lease of life so that they can lead life according to the teachings of the Bible. To realise this vision ex convicts are given lessons of the Bible and vocational training so that they can lead their life ethically.

I hope you will be pleased to know this and bless me for success in my reformatory work.

Convey my regards to your sister.

Yours truly

The Convict

@ ishan jain: well written but there's a mistake.

It is not:

'Yours truly

The Convict'

But it is:

'Yours truly,

Jean Valjean'

as the name of the convict is given in the question itself.

Jean Valjean ReformatoryParis

16th January 2013Dear BishopI can never forget you and your kindness. You blessed me and I was able to start a newlife in Paris.I sold the silver candlesticks and got a good amount to start life afresh. I started areformatory for ex-convicts. They say hate the sin but never the sinner. Feelings ofcompassion, pity and sympathy are never dead in a man. They may be dormant for aperiod of time but someone like you can rekindle them. Even the cruellest of criminalscan be transformed into a man again. The reformatorys main focusis to arouse humankindness, sympathy and compassion for our fellow beings. I also help them to earnmoney through honest means. I also help them to find jobs in the city. Fortunately, therehave been no major hurdles in our endeavours.I hope to continue my efforts in reforming ex-convicts with your blessings and guidance.Yours truly,Jean Valjean

Dear Bishop

It has been years since I have heard from you! I am glad to tell you that your blessings as well as the beautiful silver candlesticks have helped me so much! I have started a business, and guess what!! I've become rich, and I have always thought it is only because of you that I have come to such a standing in life.

Well, after my business prospered, I started a reformatory for ex-convicts. I too was a convict just like them before, so I know how they feel. When they entered the room on their first day. They acted like "BEASTS"!! Just the way, I did when I entered your house!! But I remembered the way you changed my soul, to be more like a man than like a beast. The happiness I felt when, I changed so many soul's had a great impact on me.

You might be wondering if I have had a loss or a profit with my reformatory. I would just say thatI have had neither loss nor profit, since I have just started my reformatory. Anyways, the days are better now, than before, and I hope it stays this way!! But, I can't just figure out why I couldn't have done it when my wife Jeanette was sick, then I wouldn't of have had to go to jail. I guess, life is a lways full of ups and downs!!

Yours Truly

Jean Valijean
