two wires of equal area length same resistance one of manganin and iron longer kon

resistivity of copper = 1.68 x 10 -8 ohm m
resistivity of manganin = 48.2 x 10-8 ohm m
let the length of copper be L and the length of manganin be l . their resistance is R and area of cross section be A . 
using  R = rho L /A
= ( 1.68 x 10-8 )L /A  = 48.2 x 10-8 l /A
=L/l = 48.2 / 1.68
=L/l > 1 
=L > 1 
therefore, copper wire will be longer than the manganin wire .
