Uniform circular motion is an accelerated motion . JUSTIFY THIS STATEMENT

When the body moves in a circular path with uniform speed, it is called uniform circular motion
It is possible for a body to move in a circular path with uniform speed as long as it is traveling equal distances in equal interval of time, but the velocity cannot be uniform since the direction of motion is continually changing.

Hence due to the change in velocity, the motion is an accelerated motion, circular accelerated motion. Though, the speed may not change but direction will change.

 This statement is true. This type of movement is called Uniform Circular Motion. For every circular motion at constant speed, there is a constant radial acceleration (always pointing towards the center of the circle) named centripetal acceleration. This constant acceleration ensures that at every moment during the motion the orientation of the velocity is changed so that the object stays in a circular path.

We know that acceleration is defined as time rate of change of the velocity. In the uniform circular motion velocity(not speed) of the particle changes at every instant of time. Force responsible for this change is centripetal force(mv2/r) acting always perpendicular to the particle.

Where m= mass of the particle

v= speed of the paricle

r = radius of circular path.

Hence, the uniform circular motion is the accelerated motion

Uniform circular motion is the accelerated motion.

Acceleration is given by a = v2/r It acts always towards the center of circle.

Where v = speed of particle

r = radius of circle.

this is an easy answer given by my teacher.

along a circular path at each point the direction of motion changes,so velocity changes.

the change in velocity leads to accelaration.so uniform circular motion is an accelarated motion.

thumps up plz!!

becoz it changes its direction at each and every point .so,it is an accelerated motion.

it is because the direction changes at each and every point on a circle and as a result it changes its velocity and also gets an acceleration

This statement is true.

For every circular motion at constant speed, there is a constant radial acceleration (always pointing towards the center of the circle) named centripetal acceleration. This constant acceleration ensures that at every moment during the motion the orientation of the velocity is changed so that the object stays in a circular path.

Uniform circular motion is acclerated motion as at every point of the circle the direction of velocity is different and asvelocity is a vector it isdepend on direction
