Paramagnetic behaviour is because of the unpaired electrons.
 The total number of electrons in O2 molecule are 16. Therefore, the arrangement of electrons in molecule of O2 will be as follows

 O2 : (σ1s)2 (σ*1s)(σ2s)2 (σ*2s)2 (σ2p z )2 ()

 Or, KK (σ2s)2 (σ*2s)2 (σ2p z )2 () 

In O2 - ion, there are two more electrons present than the O2 molecule, therefore its electronic configuration will be

 O2 - ion = (σ1s)2 (σ*1s)(σ2s)2 (σ*2s)2 (σ2p z )2 (Π2px 2 = Π2py 2) (Π*2px 2 = Π*2py 1

There are 2 unpaired electrons in O2 and one unpaired electron in O2-. Thus O2 is more paramagnetic than O2-.
