Save the Girl ChildIt is said that god created mothers because he could not be present everywhere. It is unbelieveable to realize that a god 's representative is countinuously killing someone beautiful even before she can come out and see the beauty of nature. Let us consider some facts -In india , she is the goddesses to be revered , in the form of Laxmi ( Goddess of wealth ) , Saraswati ( Goddess of knowledge ) and Sita ( ideal consort of Lord Sri Ram ) and even in the form of Durga ( Killer of evil ) but does that happpen in real life ? The picture in real life is quite different.India is growing dynamically in every field. Today , the boom in economy , innovative technologies and improved infrastructure has become nation 's pride. The country has witnessed advancement in all fields but has the country given equal opportunities to the boys and girls?India has examples of woman who have risen from ashes like phoenix and done the country proud. There are numerous examples to mention, The country had an able prime minister in Indira Gandhi and now H.E. Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil , the first female president of India. India 's first woman IPS officer Kiran Bedi, who had braught great laurels to her profession in the country, Kalpana Chawla , the first female astronaut from India. The list is endless. then Why the girl child is denied the basic human right of taking birth through female infacticide and female foeticide?Jawaharal Nehru , the first Prime minister of India has said - You can tell the condition of a nation by looking at the status of its woman. As regards status of girl child - It is believed that every year 12 million girls are born in the country but unfortunately only 1/3 of those survive. Some are killed in the womb , some at the time of the birth, some die due to ill health and some due to poor nutritional status. Only a few number of girls are able to survive till their 15th birthday.

Welcome to the world of the girl child, promising yet gloomy, hopeful, yet in despair. The hand that rocks the cradle, the procreator, the mother of tomorrow; a woman shapes the destiny of civilization. Such is the tragic irony of fate, that a beautiful creation such as the girl child is today one of the gravest concerns facing humanity, with a volley of summits, conferences and events held for the cause, with topmost world leaders at the helm.Traditions and rituals outline the existence of the Indian girl child. Amidst uproars of gender equality and law enforcement, female infants are still found dumped in trash, by the dozens, while unborn fetuses continue to be sniffed in the womb. Wrought with discrimination and prejudiced by rituals, our society has dealt the girl child a rough hand, starting even before birth, till the dark of life.Save Girl Child is a social endeavor under the auspices of The Organization for Eradication of Illiteracy and Poverty.

A girl is a doll, The princess of the house, Loved so much, So pretty and cute, Solves all problems, Never demands, Why then are we so cruel to her, And kill her in the womb? Think about it, And take an oath, To give her the right, to survive..
Girls are equally as important as boys in the society to maintain the social equilibrium. Few years ago, there was huge reduction in the number of women in comparison to the man. It was so because of the increasing crimes against women such as female foeticide, dowry deaths, rape, poverty, illiteracy, gender discrimination and many more. To equalize the number of women in the society, it is very necessary to aware people greatly about the save girl child. Government of India has taken some positive steps regarding save girl child such as protection of women from domestic violence act 2005, ban of female infanticide, immoral traffic (prevention) act, proper education, gender equality, etc.
HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!:)

Although pre-natal sex determination is deemed illegal, people often find a way around the law by bribing doctors. Once they are certain it is a girl, these disgusting people will try and abort it, their own child. Such people are money minded and think of a boy as an incredible asset. Not only will a boy help with his father's work, he can also earn money and stay with his parents and give them a small amount. But girls, oh no, girls can't work, that's forbidden in such conservatives cultures. But these conservatives have forgotten that they are living in the 21st century, a new era where everyone has equal rights regardless of gender, everyone can work, earn money and live independently. For them upholding of some silly customs comes above the welfare of their daughters. "My daughter wants to study engineering in some far of college, what will our neighbours think if we send her there?". You see that is the mindset of these people; money, 'honour' and "what will the neighbours think". The Female is as essential as the Male. the Female is as important as the Male. WE as HUMANS have come this far in the tree of evolution because our earliest ancestors valued both equally. So to continue onward in this tree of evolution, we must do as they did...VALUE THEM EQUALLY

SAVE THE GIRL CHILD
Discrimination against girls in India has been going on since ages now. Even today, there are several sections of the Indian society where the girl child is treated as a burden. While several privileges are given to the boys; girls are often restricted to the confines of house and given very little or no opportunities to learn and grow in life. It is a matter of great shame that cases of female infanticide are still reported. As per the figures of 2011 census, there are just 918 girls in India for 1000 boys. In such a scenario, the role of the government and NGOs becomes all the more important in order to ensure that girls are allowed to be born and flourish in life. Support charities like Save the Children to contribute your bit in spreading awareness about the importance of girl child.
Why it is important to save and educate girls
In order to achieve true women empowerment, it is important that we begin with the girl children. This is because girls of today are the women of tomorrow. The role of social welfare organizations is critical here as it is not possible for the government to reach every nook and corner of the country. As the aware citizens, we can support organizations which work for the eradication of female infanticide and women empowerment. Donations to them serve two purposes: driving change in the society and providing tax benefits to the donor.
Some yardsticks of women empowerment are:
- Helping women carve a positive self-image and increase their confidence level
- Enabling them to develop the ability to think critically.
- Ensuring that they have equal participation in decision making, whether it’s in the family or at the community level
- Providing economic independence to women
The role of education is extremely important here and goes a long way in empowering women. And the process of education has to begin early in life. More and more girl children need to be sent to school, provided quality and holistic education. Numerous benefits come with educating girls the right way. Educated girls are able to take the right decisions in life. For example, when an educated girl falls sick, she will have better understanding and awareness to avail proper healthcare services. At the same time, a society in which girls are educated will see less child marriages, decreased levels of poverty and heightened participation of women in socio-economic processes. Educating a girl has far-reaching impacts. It is rightly said that when a woman is educated, an entire generation benefits from it.
Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao Scheme (BBBP) of the Indian Government

Introduced in October of 2014, the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Scheme goes on to address the declining Child Sex Ratio in the country. Girls have been the victim of many crimes in India for years. The most fearful crime was female foeticide in which girls were killed in the womb of mother after sex determination through ultrasound. Save the girl child campaign has been launched by the government to end the gender-selective abortions of female fetus as well as other crimes against girl child.
Effects of Female Foeticide on Girl Child Ratio Reduction
Female foeticide was one of the most fearful acts through sex-selective abortion in the hospital. It was developed in India by the people’s more interest in the boy child than the female child. It has reduced the girl child sex ratio in India to a great extent. It was made possible in the country because of the Ultrasound technology. It took a form of giant demon because of the gender discrimination and inequality for girls in the society. A huge reduction in the female sex ratio was noticed after the national census of 1991. Then it was declared as a worsening problem of the society after the national census of 2001. However, reduction in female population was continued till 2011. Later, this practice was banned strictly by the government in order to control the ratio of female child. In Madhya Pradesh, the ratio was 932 girls/1000 boys in 2001 however reduced to 912/1000 in 2011. It means, it still continues somewhere and may be it reduced to 900/1000 by 2021.
Role of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao awareness Campaign
Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao is a scheme which means save the girl child and educate the girl child. This scheme was launched by the government of India on 22nd of January in 2015 in order to generate awareness for girl child as well as improve the welfare of women. This campaign was launched by organizing some activities such as large rallies, wall paintings, television commercials, billboards, short animations, video films, essay writing, debates, etc in order to aware more people of the society. It also involved some famous celebrities for more awareness. This campaign is supported by the various government and non-government organizations in India. This scheme has played a great role in spreading awareness regarding save girl child all over the county as well as improving the status of girl child in the Indian society.
Conclusion
Each and every citizen of the India must follow all the rules and regulations made for saving the girl child as well as improving the position in the society. Girls should be considered as equal as boys by their parents and given same opportunities in all the working areas.

Indian is a ?Male Dominated Society? hence women are the receiving end. They are always will treated and ill-treated at every step. As a matter of fact, a girl child is under constant, vigil initially by the parents, then her husband and finally her own children. She is never allowed to dwell and survive freely. Worst of all she is often killed before being born while in mother?s womb itself. This is foetus killing or infanticide. This is the gross downfall of humanity, morality and the values.
The situation has drastically worsened these days. Women suffer badly, infanticide have become widespread. Parents don?t send daughters for schooling thinking that the daughter is going to be a kitchen confined housewife. There was, hence, decline in female literacy and her position in the society. This practice is lasting till today and the killing of foetus after the sex determination is fearlessly continued.
HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU!

"Save the girl child", an expression we hear almost everyday. What does this expression mean? Can we just throw this expression out casually? In India it is most commonly believed that the girl child is an indoor work machine. They do not require education and only have to serve their husbands. Biologically women have the same power as men but politically and culturally they don't. The girl child is mostly only filled with dreams and ambitions. There has to be a stop to gender discrimination as the world can be a better place with more educated minds.Statistics show that most women have a better IQ than men but most people in our countries belive only religion not science. Hence I conclude by the same statement as my heading "SAVE THE GIRL CHILD".

India is a fast growing country in every fields. It is booming in the field of economy, research, technologies and infrastructure. Even after such a witnessed advancements in the country, violence again girl child is still practiced. It has made its root so deep which is creating problem in getting out completely from the society. Violence again girl child is the very dangerous social evil. The reason of female foeticide is technological improvement in the country such as ultrasound, sex determination tests, scan tests and amniocentesis, detect genetic abnormalities, etc. All such technologies have given way to various rich, poor and middle class families to detect sex of fetus and abort in case of girl baby.
Earlier amniocentesis was used (started in India in 1974) to detect only fetal abnormalities however later it was started detecting gender of the child (started in 1979 Amritsar, Punjab). However it was forbidden by the Indian Council of Medical Research but it has already destroyed many girl child before their birth. As soon as the test leaked its benefits, people started using it to fulfill their wish to get only boy baby by destroying all the unborn girl child through abortion.
Female foeticide, infanticide, lack of proper nutrition, etc are the issues of decreasing number of girl child in India. By default if a girl child take birth she face other types of discrimination and negligence by their parents and society such as basic nutrition, education, living standard, dowry death, bride burning, rape, sexual harassment, child abuse, and so many. It is very sad to express all the violence against a girl child in our society. India is a country where women are worshiped and called as mother, are still suffering male domination in various ways. According to the UN report, around 750,000 girls are being aborted annually in India especially in the Punjab and Haryana. If the practice of abortion continues for next few years, we surely will see a day without mothers and thus no life.
Generally we all feel proud to be an Indian but for what, to see girl child abortion and other violence against them. I think, we have rights to say ‘proud to be an Indian’ only when we respect and save girl child. We should realize our responsibilities of being an Indian citizen and give a better stop to this evil crime.
Thank You

Conclusion
There is an urgent need to change this archaic mindset of the patriarchal Indian society which views girls as liabilities. It needs to be established that girls are in no way less than boys. When given the right chances to nurture their talent and skills, they have it in them to excel in different areas of life. It is therefore imperative that both government and non-government organizations work in cohesion to spread the message of saving and educating the girl child. You can donate online to NGOs to lend your support to this movement.

Introduction
The existence of human race on the earth is impossible without the equal participation of both, man and woman. Both are equally responsible for the existence of human race on the earth as well as growth and development of any country. However, there is no doubt in saying that a woman is more necessary than man as without her we cannot think about the continuation of human race as she gives birth to human. So, girl children are not killed, they should be saved, respected and given equal opportunities to go ahead. They are the source of root creation and help in shaping destiny of civilization. However, women have been the victim of female foeticide, rape, sexual harassment, dowry deaths, etc in her own shaped civilization. How shame is this!
Why to Save Girl Child

- Girls become more obedient than boys and have been proved less violent and arrogant.
- They have been proved much responsible for their family, job, society or country.
- They become much caring to their parents and devoted to their job.
- A woman can be a mother, wife, daughter, sister, etc. Every man should think that his wife is daughter of another man and his daughter would be a wife of another man in future. So, everyone must respect a woman in any form.

It is very clear that a girl child always become blessing for the society and reason for the continuation of life in this world. We worship many female Goddesses at various festivals however never feel a little bit of kind to the women living in our home. Truly, the girls are pillars of the society. A small girl child can be a good daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother and other good relations in the future. If we kill them before taking birth or do not care after taking birth then how we will get a daughter, sister, wife or mother in future. Is anyone of us has ever thought that what will happen if women deny to be pregnant, give birth to a baby or give all responsibility of their motherhood to men. Are men able to do all such responsibilities. If not; then why girls are killed, why they supposed as curse, why they are burden to their parents or society. Why the eyes are not being open of the people even after many surprised truth and facts about girls.
Now-a-days, women are working outside in the field with the men by meeting shoulder to shoulder together with their all the responsibilities at home. This is a big shame to us that still girls are victims of many violence even they have changed themselves to survive in this modern world. We should actively participate in the campaign of save the girl child by removing the male dominating nature of the society. In India male considered themselves dominating and superior than women which gives rise all the violence against girls. Saving the girl child first needs parents to change their mind. They need to stop neglecting their daughter’s nutrition, education, living style, etc. They need to consider their kids same whether they are girls or boys. It is the parent’s positive thinking towards girls which can change the whole society in India. They should raise the voice against criminal doctors killing innocent girls in the womb before their birth just for getting some money. All the rules and regulations should be tough and active against those who are involved in the crime against girls (whether they are parents, doctors, relatives, neighbors, etc). Only then, we can think and expect a good future in India. Women should also need to be strong and raise their voice. They should learn from the great women leaders in India like Sarojini Naidu, Indira Gandhi, Kalpana chawla, Sunita Williams, etc. Without women everything is incomplete in this world like man, home, and a world itself. So, its my humble request to all of you that please involve yourself in saving the girl child.
Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has said in his speech on girl child that “Am Standing Before you as Beggar”. He has launched a nationwide campaign named “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” (means Save the Girl Child and Educate Her). This campaign was launched by him to spread awareness in the society against female foeticide as well as women empowerment through education.

Save Girl Child
The status of girls in the Indian society has been greatly debated for many years. Girls are generally believed to be involved in the cooking and playing with dolls while boys to be involved in the education and other physical activities from the ancient time. Such old beliefs of men have simulated them for violence against women which resulted in the continuous decrease in the number of girl child in the society. So, there is a big need to save girl child in order to equalize the ratio of both as well ensure the development of country.
Effective Steps regarding Save Girl Child
Following are the various effective steps to save girl child:
- The position of girl child in Indian society is backward since ages because of the extreme desire of parents for the boy-child. It has created gender inequality in the society and has been very necessary to remove by bringing gender equality.
- Extreme poverty in the society has created social evil against women as dowry system which worsens the situation of women. Parents generally think that girls are only to spend money that’s why they kill girl child before or after birth in many ways (female infanticide, dowry deaths, etc). Our country is zooming ahead in all fields that count at break neck speed. The boom in economy, innovative technologies and improved infrastructure are testament to that. Women have provided considerable contribution to this progress, with them taking up every possible job. From preparing the morning breakfast to sending the Orbiter to Mars, they have made their presence felt in every sphere of life. Yet in every strata of the Indian society, there still remains a cloud of apprehension and insecurity when a girl child is born. Discrimination against a girl begins at her conception and shapes up to be the monster she has to fight every moment of her waking existence. Her second rate citizenship is reflected in the denial of fundamental needs and rights and in such harmful attitudes and practices as a preference for sons, female genital mutilation, incest, sexual exploitation, domestic abuse, discrimination, early marriage, less food and less access to education. Deep-rooted patriarchal perceptions project women as liabilities. There lurks in the Indian conscience, a foul monster of hypocrisy, when the Kali-Durga-Lakshmi worshippers take no time in putting women down or dismissing them as a mere afterthought.

Introduction

Save Girl Child is a motto that we should all take to heart. Girls are currently at risk from a variety of ills in the world, and it is crucial to take action to help them. Female rates of literacy are lower than rates of literacy for males, for instance, which limits the number and type of opportunities that girls can take advantage of.
In addition, girls are at risk from gendered problems such as child marriage, domestic violence and sexist stigmas that see women and girls as inferior to men and boys.
We can all do our bit to help to improve the lives of girl children. We can do a variety of things, such as pro-actively setting up an education initiative for girls, or by donating money to an NGO that provides help to girl children. Those of us who are female ourselves can ensure that we are strong role models for your girls, encouraging them to be whomever they want to be.

Introduction

After years when many schemes and education was spread people understood the importance of a girl. There are people who still do not support this and on having a girl child they kill it, thinking all sorts of things like a girl is of no use and is a burden to them.

In the Indian society, girl children are considered as the curse from the ancient time. If we think from our own mind the question arise that how the girl child can be a curse. The answer is very clear and full of fact that without a girl child, boy child can never take birth in this world. Then why people do lots of violence again women and girl child. Why they want to kill the girl child before taking birth in her mother’s womb. Why people rape or sexually harass the girls at home, public place, schools or work place. Why a girl is attacked by the acid and why a girl child become victim of various men cruelty.

Why it is important to save and educate girls
In order to achieve true women empowerment, it is important that we begin with the girl children. This is because girls of today are the women of tomorrow. The role of social welfare organizations is critical here as it is not ?possible for the government to reach every nook and corner of the country. As the aware citizens, we can support organizations which work for the eradication of female infanticide and women empowerment.?Donations?to them serve two purposes: driving change in the society and providing?tax benefits?to the donor.
Some yardsticks of women empowerment are:
Helping women carve a positive self-image and increase their confidence level
Enabling them to develop the ability to think critically.
Ensuring that they have equal participation in decision making, whether it?s in the family or at the community level
Providing economic independence to women
The mindset that a girl is a liability needs to be changed and this ?requires happening at the grass root level. While spreading awareness is critical, there is a need of stricter laws in place which deter people from resorting to female foeticide.
The role of education is extremely important here and goes a long way in empowering women. And the process of education has to begin early in life. More and more girl children need to be sent to school, ?provided quality and holistic education.

Here's your answer:
Hope it's helpful......
In many parts of India, the birth of a girl child is not welcomed. Right from her arrival, she faces discrimination, humiliation, and oppression at every stage of life. When it comes to healthcare, education and growth opportunities, she is neglected because of her gender. Some manage to survive and foster new paths to follow. Most, however, surrender hopelessly to the sad fate assigned to them.
The issue of girl child rights and protection in India is a very serious concern. Not only are they unsafe at home where they are victims of stereotypical attitude, but also in learning environments.
In order to make sure that girl children get access to quality education, we need to tackle the mindset that makes it okay for young children to be employed..

For a healthy society, the male-female sex ratio must be maintained at almost the same level. Due to reckless female foeticide, the male-female child sex ratio is declining at an alarming rate in some sections of our society. This must be stopped immediately. Female foeticide is q matter of shame for the couples who go for it and also for the doctors who perform such surgical abortions (or rather murder the unborn girl child) for earning some quick money! Let us not forget that our mother is a female, out sister is a female, our wife is a female. Then why no have a female as a daughter? Remember, daughters are no less than sons. Our government has already enacted laws to ban prenatal (before-birth) determination of sex of foetuses. These laws must be enforced strictly to save our society from the grave dangers of female foeticide in the long run.

"Save the Girl Child"
“Save the Girl Child” is a social initiative in India to fight against the practice of female foeticide. The initiative also aims are protecting, safeguarding, supporting, and educating the girl child.
Our present Prime Minister has requested every section of the society to give whole-hearted support to the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao“ abhiyan (initiative). ‘Beth Bachao’ means ‘save girl child’ and ‘Beth Padhao’ means ‘educate the girl child.’
Poor households, when faced with the choice, often choose to send their male children to school instead of their female children, instead saddling female children with back-breaking household chores.Female foeticide is both a national problem and a social evil. It’s unbelievable that the urge for a boy-child makes them so cruel that they dare to kill the yet to be born. The child sex ratio (CSR), according to 2011 population census, was 943 female child for every 1000 male child. The Low CSR may lead to a dangerous situation. As such it is crucial to step in and save the female children.
I hope this might help you
Thank you

It?s a common practice in India where people abort or kill girl child on?birth. But, they should be saved given equal opportunity, and respect and opportunity to go ahead in life. Apart from that, the fate of civilization lies in their hand as they are the root of our creation.

Girls are being killed before there birth in the stomach of there mother. Now a days the many family prefers the ultrasound method to insure that the unborn baby is a boy aur girl. If they found it a girl then they do abortiom which is totally illegal.
So the killing of unborn baby girl is termed as female foeticide.
Girls to take born in a family for this we should stop female foeticide first...

A girl child is a princess. everyone pray goddess but when it come to girls they start killing them in womb because in cities there are many facilities and in rural areas the girl child is killed after the birth. why there is an inequality between girl or a boy? why can't girls be treated as boys? it is very hard and cruel to believe but it is happening in our country on a large numbers. every citizens of the country has right to live and all other rights but then also one million girls are being killed in a year. if this will be continued then a day will come when there will be no girls with whom boys can marry. girls will simply vanish from the face of the earth. to prevent this happening we have to make an initiative and need to aware everyone specially ini rural areas, that girls are also important like boys and can do the things which boys are doing. girls also has all rights and every parent should be proud that they gave a born to a baby girl and girls should also be proud of themselves that they are girls. a small step taken by us can prevent he vanishing of girls in Indian society. there are women India who achieve something ai their life and in their fields. this might change the attitude of the society against women.
