what are communicable diseases? give examples

A disease is classified as communicable when it can be transferred from an infected person to a healthy  person. These diseases can be transferred by direct or indirect contact with the affected person. For example, if you sit near a person suffering from cold, you might also catch a cold from the infected person. Other examples of communicable diseases are chicken pox, mumps, herpes, measles, etc.
