What are diploblastic and triploblastic animals. Explain with examples
Diploblastic- when the cells are arranged in two embryonic layers in an animal i.e ectoderm (outer layer) and Endoderm (inner layer). The space between the two is occupied by an undifferentiated tissue called as mesoglea. example includes Coelentrates such as hydra , sea sponges etc.
Triploblastic- when the cells are arranged in three embryonic layers i.e outer ectoderm, middle mesoderm and inner endoderm. They are termed as triploblastic
Example includes starting from platyhelminthes such as flatworms to chordates such as mammals.
