What are macronutrients? Why are they called macronutrients?

Macronutrients are the nutrients that are required in large amount by the body. Tanya is absolutely correct since these nutrients are required in large quantities thus, are called macronutrients.

 macronutrients are those nutrients which are required by plants in large amounts.The major macronutrients are nitrogen (N), phosphorous (P), and potassium (K). Calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and sulfur (S) are also macronutrients. All six nutrients are important constituents in soil that promote plant growth.they are needed in large amounts hence they are namedmacronutrients.hope dis helps
