Synthetic fibres are those fibres which have been made artificially, using chemicals. That is why they are known as synthetic fibres. Rayon, nylon, acrylic, and polyester are examples of such fibres.

They have been used in making ropes, tooth brush bristles, non stick crockery, bottles, jars, wires, etc.
