what are the advantages and disadvantages of cloning ?

Cloning is a process in biology of producing genetically identical individuals or cells.

Advantages of cloning are:

1. It can provide new ways to treat diseases like cancer etc.

2. It may be the possible solution of infertile couples to produce their children.

3. It can help to protect endangered species.

Disadvantages of cloning are

1. As clone creates exact copy of individual, he can inherit the diseases of parent.

2. There is an element of uncertainty of the survival of the cloned individual for longer time.

3. Many believe that cloning is inhumane especially some religious parties.

advantage is that from it we can  find the mixture of two organism and  disadvantage  is that it may create problem to the cloned young one .the cloning of a animal is succesfull performed for the first time by IAN WILMUT and his colleagues at the roslin institute in Edinburgh Scotland . They succesfully cloned a sheep named dolly. Dolly was born on 5th july 1996 and was the first mammal to be cloned.Unfortunately Dolly died on 14th feb 2003 due to a certain lung diease.
