Disadvantages: 
1. It can have negative effects on your social life and interactions with other people if you do not maintain the balance between time online and offline. 
2. It may have a negative effect on your eyesight due to radiation. 
3. It may cause pimples and wrinkles. 
4. It may distract you from your studies. 
5. Too much time in front of monitor may adversely affect your eyesight. 
6. Sitting in front of a computer for too long without exercise can cause a weight gain. 

Advantages: 
1. It helps you automate various tasks that you cannot do manually. 
2. It helps you organize your data and information. 
3. It has much more computing and calculating power then an ordinary human. 
4. It may help your work to be a lot easier. 
5. It can help you communicate with friends, coworkers and other contacts. 
6. It has many search engines to help you find information quickly.

Today, Computers have evolved to become not only our companions, but alos our good friends. Well, computer is a device that lets us convert raw data into meningful information. Its input devices take in data from us, its processing device processes raw data into meaningful information, its output devices display the result and its storage devices store the processed data permanently. It has aided in letting us do the work which our forefathers used to do in hours, in just seconds and minutes. It is used in offices, Schools, police stations, hospitals, scientific labs and engineering. it is even used to play games, watch movies, listen songs and do much more. In spite of all these, there are certain disadvantages of computers as well. Working with computers for a long time causes head pain. It has led to deterioration of the small children. It has made the children spectacled.

So, to coclude, computers have advantages as well as disadvantages and we must make a balanced use of computers to protect ourselves from its disadvantages.
