what are the advantages and disadvantages of multi purpose river projects?

 Advantages : it is used for irrigation for small farmer .It helps in drought to provide water to peoples It is uses to generate electricity

Disadvantage ; Sometimes it causes earthquake , flood also . it need large area of land that why some people become homeless
