Libya, Egypt and India are in the categories of third world countries. The reasons why these third world countries must adopt democracy are  :

1. accountable , legitimate , responsive government

2. economic growth and development

3. reduction of inequality and poverty

4. accommodation of social diversity

5. dignity and freedom of the citizens.

democracy gives liberty to each citizen of the country to select its own representatives. in monarchy the representative(king) has uncontrolled power but in democracy the government limits the power of an elected representative.thus it provides a safegaurd to the public property and assures eqality. hence democracy is very important.
