what are the reasons of extinction of extinct species and how can we prevent them

Your friends are correct! I would like to add few more related points.

Deforestation is also a major reason for species extinction. Because forest is a habitat for many animals.

  • Extinct species are the organisms that have become extinct either in the wild or completely.
  • Extinction is a certainty when there are no surviving individuals that are able to reproduce and create a new generation. Example: Dinosaurs
  • An endangered species is a species of organisms facing a very high risk of extinction. They are living today but their number has decreased and may become extinct in future.
  • Endangered species are able to reproduce and create a new generation.
  • Example: According to 2010 survey only 250 Bengal tigers in India. It is a endangered species and if we do not protect and reproduce it more, it will become extinct in few years.

There are many things that can cause a species to become threatened or endangered. Some problems, such as pollution, can affect many plants animals at the same time. In other cases, perhaps the loss of a wooded area for new construction, a problem might threaten only one particular species in that one area.

These are the major causes:

1 habitat loss

2 pollution

3 competition from other species

4 disease

5 predation

6 illegal killing

the reason for extinct species may be

because of man-eg.extinction of dodo ; or

because of natural calamities-eg. extiction of dinosaurus

spread of diseases

we must preserve them by conserving them

by building reserves and sanctuaries

there are 4 types

spread

endangered

vulnerable

extinct
