What are the types of venation

There are two type of venations Parallel venation and Reticulate venation.

Venation is the pattern made by the veins on the leaves.

There are two types of venation-

1.Reticulate venation-

In reticulate venation there isone main veinandmultiple side veinssprouting from the main vein. Plants withtap root systemhave reticulate venation.

e.g. Peepal, Banyan, Tulsi etc.

2.Parallel venation-

In parallel venation there isno main veinand all theveins are placed parallel to each other. Plants withfibrous root systemhave parallel venation.
