The Silk Route is a convenient name for the Trans Asia trade routes through which the trade of silk prospered.Silk route linked the world by means of trade and commerce relationships between various countries. Historians have found several silk routes in land and water, which connected Asia, Europe and North Africa. The trade and exchange dependent on the silk route between these countries. Therefore, it linked the world together.

silk routes were the most important routes. these routesprovided a good example of vibrant pre modern trade & cultural exchange b/w parts of the world . in these routes mainly silk was carried from china to regions of asia & europe , but not only the silk also other things such as chnese pottery , indian spices & textiles were also carried . along these routes the buuddist, chirtians & later muslim prechers travelled in these routes this lead to a cultural exchange
