An allylic carbon is a carbon atom bonded to a carbon atom that in turn is doubly bonded to another carbonatom.

 An allylic carbon is a type of halide wich is formed when a halide (cl......i) is  attached or bonded to a carbon atom which is sp3 hybridised and which is also doubly bonded to another carbon atom ,......

 

allylic halides are only possible if the carbon atom to which halide is attached is SP3 hybridised ,
