Pasteurization is the process of heating milk at 70 degree celsius for 15 - 30 seconds and then cooling it in order to kill the microorganisms present in milk. This technique was developed by Louis Pasteur.

Pasteurization     is the process of heat processing a liquid or a food to kill pathogenic bacteria to make the food safe to eat. The use of pasteurisation to kill pathogenic bacteria has helped reduce the transmission of diseases,  such as typhoid fever,  tuberculosis,  scarlet fever,  polio and dysentery.  Hope you have understood in a simple language : )
