WHAT IS A CANDLE FILTER HOW DOES IT WORK

Candle filters are used in removal of activated carbon, charcoal in pharma plants, bleaching earth removal in vegetable oil plants, resin filtration, filtration of hazardous liquids.

 

The basic working mechanism of candle filter is as follows:

Water is poured into one side of the filter that blocks out the larger molecule contaminants. The water containing the smaller molecular components then passes to the other side of the filter. The top half of a filter is the place where the contaminants are accumulated and it needs to clean these from time to time to discourage the growth of harmful bacterial and fungal growths.
