Anatropous refers to the shape of an ovule, there are 6 general shapes of an ovule anatropous is one of them, it also could be refered to as orientation or arrangement of ovule's parts. The other five types are- hemiantropous, campylotropous, orthotropous, amphitropous, circinotropous.
