what is difference between protozoa and bacteria?

Protozoans are the group of single celled heterotrophic eukaryotic organisms that belong to kingdom protista. They live as predators or parasites inside the body of their host.

Bacteria:- These are the most abundant prokaryotic organism  which are found almost everywhere and belong to kingdom monera. Some bacteria are autotrophs whereas majority of them are heterotrophs.

Protozoa: A single-cell organism that can only divide within a host organism. Malaria is caused by a protozoa: Plasmodium. Other protozoan parasites Giardia and Toxoplasma.

Definition of Bacteria

Bacteria: Single-celled microorganisms which can exist either as independent (free-living) organisms or as parasites (dependent upon another organism for life).

Examples of bacteria include:

Acidophilus, a normal inhabitant of yogurt,
Chlamydia, which causes an infection very similar to gonorrhea,
Clostridium welchii the most common cause of the dreaded gas gangrene,
E. coli, the common peaceful citizen of our colon and, upon occasion, a dangerous agent of disease, and
Streptococcus, the bacterium that causes the important infection of the throat strep throat.
