simple present represents any idea or any action that usual or of daily happening.

Eg : I study english.

simple past represents any action that is taking place in the past at once.

Eg : I finished my homework.

simple present tense is tells about action,which is going in present &structure is S+V1+O.Ex:Ramu eats mango.

Simple past tense is tells about action,which is already done in past & S+V2+O.Ex:Ramu ate mango.
