what is difference between wbc and rbc

WBC refers to white blood cells present in our blood. it helps us to fight against diseases.

RBC refers to red blood cells in our body which contains haemoglobin in it . the haemoglobin carries the oxygen to differnt parts of our body.

wbc is the cell in our blood which fights against germs etc..

rbc is the cell in our blood which contains heomoglobin which makes it look red.. it contain oxygen which is carried to different part of body..

rbc is red in colour and contains a pigment called heamoglobin which help in the transport of oxgen and rbc is large in number and in humans it is formed in bone marrow which lives 120 days...in humans 4-5million erythocytes are produced per hour...The role of red cells is to absorb oxygen through the little alveoli in your lungs and deliver it to all the muscles, tissues and organs in your body.....in birbs and reptiles the rbc consists of only nucleus and rbc is called as erytrocytes

wbc means white blood cell scientific name is leucocytes  which doenot have haemoglobin and is white in colour and is less in number it is of two types granulocytes and agranulocytes ....granulocytes are of three types 1.neutrophil,basophil and eosinophil.agranulocytes is of two types lymphocytes and monocytes.....granulocytes kill the foreign material which enters our body and agranulocytes release antibodies into the foreign material which enters and then kill them

RBCs(Red Blood Cells)contain haemoglobin' a pigment which make the blood red and rbc helps to transport oxygen to all parts of the body.

WBCs(White Blood Cells)help to fight against germs diseases etc. They are bigger in size than RBCs

RBC has no nucleus but WBC has a nucleus.

wbc (white blood cells ) they are blood cells which helps the body to fight against diseases and rbc (red blood cells ) they are  blood cells which have an pigment known as haemoglobin which is the carrier of oxygen .

RBC / Erythrocyte:

1. They are red in colour due to presence of haemoglobin.

2. They are smaller in size (7.5µ), biconcave and non-nucleated.

3. They are immobile.

4. They are produced in red bone marrow.

5. They transport oxygen and carbon dioxide.

WBC / Leucocyte:

1. They are colourless due to absence of haemoglobin.

2. They are larger in size (15µ) irregular and nucleated.

3. They leave the blood vessels and move to the injury site (diapedesis).

4. They are produced in lymph nodes, spleen, etc.

5. They defend the body from attack of germs.

rbc are the red blood cells and wbc are white blood cells

rbc is used for transporting oxygen to every cell of the body and wbc is to fight against the germs which enter the body

RBCs dont have a nucleus, WBCs do.

RBCs can squeeze through the smallest Cappilaries, Most WBCs can't.

RBCs carry oxygen in the form of oxyhaemoglobin, WBCs kil germs by engulfing them or using antigens.

RBCs are able to bend and fold, WBCs can't.

There are upto 61 million RBCs in your body, but only upto 11,000 WBCs.

the WBC are cells which protect and fight our body from dieseases

the RBC are cell which transport oxygen and nutrients. it also disposes waste  product from our body

the rbc r produced in the red bone marrow.they lose nucleus during maturation.the red colour is due to iron protein compound called haemoglobin which acts as oxygen carrier.there r about 4.5 to 5 million per 1cu.mm of blood.they r disc shaped.

wbc r amoeboid and white in colour.there r about 5000-8000 per cu.mm of blood.functions r -phagocytosis,immunity and inflammation.they fight against germs and provide immunity.

the lifespan of rbcs is 120 days and lifespan of wbcs is few weeks

wbc protects us from diseases whereas rbc contains haemoglobin which in turn contains oxygen leading to the increase in the oxygen content of blood and rbc also conducts the various hormones to the various parts of the body.

W.B.C kills germs but R.B.C gives Oxygen to the blood

RBC is the abbreviation of Red Blood Corpuscles. They primarily transport oxygen and carbon dioxide. These are round or oval in shape.

whereas WBC is the abbreviation of White Blood Corpuscles. They prevent infections by fighting and destroying germs. They can be of any shape.
