WHAT IS HYDROSTATIC PARADOX ?PLEASE EXPLAIN

Take two jars of different sizes and shapes and connect them from the bottom to each other. Now, start filling them with water. You will see that the height of water column is same in both the jars. This is the paradox wherein inspite of the different orientations, the height is the same.
This is because the baseline of both the containers are same, and the atmospheric pressure is acting from above. These jars therefore will have the same height of water column.

The liquid pressure at a point depends upon the depth of the point from the surface of the liquid, but it is independent of the quantity of the liquid. This is known as hydrostatic paradox.

The pressure increases as the depth increases. That is pressure is directly proportional to depth.

The proposition in hydrostatics that any quantity of water, however small, may be made to counterbalance any weight, however great is called hydrostatic paradox. In other words, it is the law of equality of pressure of fluids in all directions. It was proposed by Blaise Pascal around 300 years ago.
