What is meant by 'romantic solitude'?
"Romantic solitude" was a notion propagated by the "romantic" poets. Romanticism saw the development of aesthetics, as rationality was being discarded and superfluous concepts were encouraged. In this regard "romantic solitude" would be the moments shared by the poets thinking about and admiring Nature. These would be the times when the "romantic" poets would remove all ties with logic, rationality and spend time with Nature. Nature here can be personified to be their "muse" or inspiration. These moments of silence, seclusion when the poets developed a relationship with Nature can be termed as "romantic solitude". However, as per the term it is essential that the poet be alone at that particular time.
