what is phyllotaxy ?

Phyllotaxy is the arrangement of leaves on stem.

Basically there are in general three type of phyllotaxy

1. Alternate or spiral- One leaf at each node.

2. Opposite- Leafs arranged in pairs in opposite directions.

3. Whorled- More than two leaves at a node.
