what is potential gradient? determine potential gradient across AB in a potentiometer 1 ?

Potential gradient:

Potential gradient is defined as the change in potential with respect to distance.

dV/dx,dV/dy,dV/dz represents potential gradient distance w.r.t x axis,y axis and z axis respectively.

The SI unit of potential gradient is volt metre-1 (Vm-1).

In the second part of your question diagram is missing from which you have mentioned AB. Please post the complete question so that we can assist you.

hey ..I think ths ques. is  frm some diagram... well leave dat

u can easily find potential gradient by dV/dl , V=potential diff. and l=length of the wire.

If we have a graph b/w V & l , the slope of the graph will be the potential gradient.

Potential gradient is the potential drop per unit length i.e. V=kl where k is the potential gradient so k= V/l
