what is Producer Gas and Equation ?
Producer Gas: It is a mixture of nitrogen, carbon monoxide and hydrogen which is generated by passing air with steam over burning coke or coal in a furnace used as fuel.
This gas is highly combustible and prepared as :
2C + O2 + 3.73 N2 → 2CO + 3.73 N2 (The reaction is exothermic)
