What is rumen ? , What is assimilation? Is Bile juice plays an important role in fat ?

Rumen is the part of gastrointestinal tract of ruminant species for example- cow, goat, sheep etc. Ruminants are the grass eating animal so they need to digest the cellulose present in plant. Rumen contains microbes which digest the cellulose and also, stores the partially digested food.

Assimilation- Assimilation is the process by which the absorbed food is transported to the different parts of the body.

Bile juice plays an important role in fat digestion by carrying out the process of fat emulsification. It breaks the large fat molecules into smaller molecules.

The rumen, also known as a paunch, forms the larger part of the reticulorumen, which is the first chamber in the alimentary canal of ruminant animals. It serves as the primary site for microbial fermentation of ingested feed. The smaller part of the reticulorumen is the reticulum, which is fully continuous with the rumen, but differs from it with regard to the texture of its lining.

Assimilation (biology), the conversion of nutrient into the fluid or solid substance of the body, by the processes of digestion and absorption.
Bile is a digestive juice secreted by the liver. Although it does not contain any digestive enzymes, it plays an important role in the digestion of fats. Bile juice has bile salts such as bilirubin and biliverdin. These break down large fat globules into smaller globules so that the pancreatic enzymes can easily act on them. This process is known as emulsification of fats. Bile juice also makes the medium alkaline and activates lipase.
